ANATA Begins Recording New Album
May 12, 2008Swedish death metal masters ANATA have entered the studio to begin recording their new album, tentatively due before the end of the year via Earache Records.
The band's most recent CD, "The Conductor's Departure" (2006),was recorded at Studio Mega with Valle Adzic (THE CROWN, IMPIOUS, LAKE OF TEARS, BESEECH). The CD features "10 brand new tracks continuing the path that have seen the band likened to MESHUGGAH, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, GOJIRA and NECROPHAGIST," according to a press release. "Merging blindingly technical riffing with an ear for melody, ANATA have gained a reputation for blatantly sidestepping the IN FLAMES imitation of their homeland. Instead, the band have found themselves mentioned as the missing link between death metal and the technical 'math-core' hardcore scene."
